There is a website called www.smartbuyglasses.co.uk and it seems to be a distributor in the world and all of a web presence. I watch Persol sunglasses there – and what appears to be a website in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States, usually in all products from Hong Kong. However, glasses are guaranteed authentic – Do you think it is possible for them to sell, say, the Persol sunglasses – which are known to be manufactured in Italy – from Hong Kong and still have them be true? I am a little worried because I recently ordered some glasses from them and did not know they were in Hong Kong until I saw my card statement credit. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.
They keep their stock probably in Hong Kong due to its ease to be delivered around the world from there, rather than shipping them directly from where they are manufactured. Just because Persol sunglasses are Italian and they are shipped from Hong Kong, it does not automatically mean they are wrong, they will still stockholders in Hong Kong and it may simply be that it is where their warehouse. The Web site looks legitimate, but if you paid for the glasses on your credit card rather than your debit card, you should be protected in the event that they are false.
